Deadly Clique

This week I saw a movie called Deadly Clique. Even though this movie is not in theaters I wanted to discuss it for this weeks blog. This lifetime movie is a suspenseful drama that ends with a murder! Everyone has to try to watch this movie for the "on the edge of the seat" experience.

The movie is about a best friend duo who have been best friends since the 6th grade. In the middle of the school year, a new girl enters their school. The new girl joins the duo, and things get crazy. The movie is really good, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Two thumbs up! I found the official page, so click the link below for more great details!

Set your expectations low to be less disappointed

This last Friday, I went to see The Boy. I was actually very excited to see this movie because 1.)  I loved the trailer and 2.) it's a horror. This is the first horror I can think of with this story and I can't get enough of new cinematic ideas . The trailer shows the audience that an older couple has a boy-doll and is looking for a babysitter. The baby sitter chosen is then explained the rules of the house (she "house sits"  as well, since the two adults obviously leave). She is given specific instructions on how to care for doll and what she should and should not do.

The trailers next scene shows the babysitter defying all the rules that were given to her, which not surprisingly leads to bad things. The baby sitter is shown purposely disobeying all the rules, and scary things start to occur with this "toy doll".

I purposely went to see this movie during the 10:30 pm showing because I feel that entering a movie theater in the night already presets the attitude one has when watching a horror; which did not occur in this case. I was very disappointed in this movie, and I personally will not be watching it again for a very, very long time. It was a little boring for my taste and the actual movie did not live up to the scary trailer it had. The action takes a while to start, and my sister slept through the first half. I feel that all the The Boy had to offer was jump scares and I didn't even see anyone in my theater jump. The trailer is very misleading, in my opinion, and is not as scary as it seems to be.
I had wondered at first, but now I am certain I know why The Boy is Pg-13; its not scary... Any child can go.

Aside from all the negative comments, I am glad I went to see this movie because I liked the trailer, BUT this one might be a rental.
$31.50 for 3 tickets to The Boy is $31.50 too much. Watch the trailer below and decide for yourself!:)

If anything, I'll go as far as advising against wasting your money! Save your $30! Wait for Redbox!!

FINALLY! An R-rated HORROR!!

Witch
ONE WORD:
Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.

The title says it all. You will be watching a movie about a witch,

I will not be writing any spoilers in this blog, because I dont think this movie deserves any!

This past Saturday, I had a date night with my boyfriend, and we saw the movie Witch, the last showing (9:30). This movie, as interpreted by the trailer, is a horror classic about a Witch. In the trailer, you can see that the movie focuses on one family and that the movie is somewhat "in the olden days". The family wears old clothes, and the physical appearances of the characters already tell the audience that the movie will probably be set in the earlier times.

I, honestly, am a horror fanatic. I LOVE scary movies. I was the kid in the theater always too young for the horror, but always there anyway (with my family). BUT, I was different. Obviously, I was invested every minute and second, not crying for a pickle and yelling for candy. I watched the movie. I sat there for the two hours and listened;  unlike the other children.... and some adults. ANYWHO... back to the movie.

This is a good movie. The family is terrorized by a witch, and it's simply just a great movie. A witch  horror hasn't come out since Blare witch project and this one surpasses that dumb movie in quality by a landslide (Blare witch project is about lost witches walking around a forest in a circle for 2 hours).

The one small helpful spoiler I will provide for anyone wanting to see this movie is:

Go prepared to pay attention.

DO NOT GO WITH YOUR TALKATIVE AUNT MARTHA.

My boyfriend, Daniel, appreciates a good movie, and I'm a little glad I didn't take my sister, Tori, A.K.A movie ruiner, to this specific one.
Daniel,
I was a little surprised to see that the language used in the movie was the language of those times. Even though, I had to pay extra attention, and there were some bits that were hard to comprehend, I appreciated the different words that I dont hear often (thy, thee, etc) and I feel that the language INCREASED the authenticity of the production. It was a very nice, witch horror movie that had several CREEEEEEPY scenes throughout. And when I say creepy, (believe me, I LOVE horror) this movie was AWESOME CREEPY.
Some scenes were so gory that the man a row below kept hiding behind his shirt,
WITCH I thought was pretty funny.
^=FUN WORD PLAY

I might have not personally liked the ending, but I sure caught myself at the edge of my seat the entire first two hours, so I would give this movie a 2 thumbs up.. Witch may be one of the "CREEPIEST" horrors I've seen in a while. Def will be buying to own, NOT A RENTAL!:)

If your looking for a quick escape from reality or your like me, a movie buff thats been waiting for a good creeper, GO SEE IT!

Ride Along 2- Too funny or Too Dumb

Soooo sorry for the late week two post, I have been out, but im back.
Shadys back.
Tell a friend.

And now I am back.
Hi guys!!! :)
I was pretty excited to see this movie because  I had personally seen the trailer on TV a million times. The trailer shows the audience the movie is about a funny police duo (the men are brother in laws.) I went to this movie with my sister Victoria and my mom. -NOTE TO SELF: Mom talks A LOT during movies, buy her a bag of Welch's fruit snacks to keep her busy.

The movie features Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, and the two actors are HILARIOUS together! I heard a lot of talk go around that the movie was too funny that it seemed a little dumb. I, personally, don't agree at all and I loved it. My sister and mom were laughing the entire time, and I struggled to hear the movie. j.k.

Ride Along is about how the two spend time together on a day in the "work" of being a police officer. Kevin Hart plays Ben Barber, a whacky clutz that looks up to his brother in law for approval. Ice Cube plays James Payton, the police officer that has high standards and is annoyed often by Ben. Ben and James embark on crazy adventures after some mishaps occur with criminals. The danger and adventure the two encounter is wild and crazy, the movie is a solid two thumbs up!!!!

Sweet Sides and Juicy Entrees coming soon!

Hello everyone,

My name is Gaby Gonzales. For as long as I can remember I have always "loved" movies, my mother and father raised me to. I, personally, favor horror and comedy but many action movies sneak their way into my top favorites.

For years I was taken by my parents, as a child, to the movies multiple times a week. My parents, both LOVE going to the movies. My mom is a horror ADDICT, (my house is a yearly haunted house on Halloween), and my dad... goes to the movies every chance he gets.

Now as a "young" adult, 24 yrs., I go,  often to the movies; at least 2 - 3 times a week.

I will be posting one blog a week about one of the movies I see that week.
*Starting next Monday (2-1-16)

In my blogs, I will post my personal thoughts, some details (Sweet Sides) and critiques on the personal "favorite" seeing of the week. I will also be including spoilers (Juicy Entrees) but just in case, it will be hidden by page breaks for those of you who would hate me if I didn't hide it. ( Don't worry, I'd hate me too.)

Next week, I have some specific movies I already have my eye on watching , but instead of mentioning them here, I'll just surprise my small audience next week!

See you soon

Gaby :)
